Pol Roger's Vintage Rosé is a masterclass in elegance and structure, born from the house's steadfast refusal to produce a non-vintage rosé. This cuvée is crafted only in exceptional years, blending the house's signature vintage Brut assembly of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with approximately 15% of still red Pinot Noir sourced from the prestigious Grand Crus of the Montagne de Reims, such as Ambonnay and Bouzy. The wine undergoes its secondary fermentation and extensive aging in Pol Roger's legendary deep chalk cellars in Épernay, lying 30 meters below ground at a constant, icy 9 degrees Celsius. This exceptionally cool environment slows the fermentation process, yielding an incredibly fine, persistent mousse and a complex bouquet of red berries, citrus, and warm brioche. Each bottle is still hand-riddled by a dedicated team of remueurs, preserving a historic artisanal craftsmanship that has defined the house since 1849.
