While the exact blend remains a closely guarded family secret, it is defined by a robust, structured dominance of Grand Cru Pinot Noir, balanced by the elegance of Grand Cru Chardonnay. The Vinothèque designation indicates that these precious bottles have undergone extraordinarily prolonged aging on their lees in Pol Roger's deep, cold, double-vaulted chalk cellars in Épernay, thirty meters below ground. This extended maturation imparts an unparalleled complexity, seamlessly blending fresh, vibrant acidity with rich, tertiary notes of toasted brioche, preserved citrus, honey, and roasted nuts.

Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger in Aÿ before establishing its historic cellars along Épernay's Avenue de Champagne in 1851, Champagne Pol Roger remains one of the preeminent family-owned Grandes Marques. The house oversees approximately 92 hectares of sustainably farmed estate vineyards across the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne, rooted in quintessential Campanian chalk and limestone soils. Pol Roger is renowned for vinifying exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with systematic double débourbage à froid and full malolactic conversion, preserving pristine varietal fruit and crisp structure.
