Pol Roger's Vintage Brut is a masterclass in patience and precision, crafted only in years where nature yields grapes of exceptional maturity and structural balance. Sourced from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée represents the harmonious marriage of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A key element to its legendary complexity is the house's subterranean cellars in Épernay. Descending 30 meters below ground, these are among the deepest and coldest cellars in Champagne, maintaining a constant 9°C. This chilly environment slows the secondary fermentation, fostering an exceptionally fine, persistent effervescence and allowing the wine to develop profound autolytic complexity over its minimum of eight years of aging on the lees. Hand-riddled by a dedicated team, this vintage Champagne carries the legacy of a house that famously captured the devotion of Sir Winston Churchill.

Founded in 1849 by Pol Roger in Aÿ before establishing its historic cellars along Épernay's Avenue de Champagne in 1851, Champagne Pol Roger remains one of the preeminent family-owned Grandes Marques. The house oversees approximately 92 hectares of sustainably farmed estate vineyards across the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, and Vallée de la Marne, rooted in quintessential Campanian chalk and limestone soils. Pol Roger is renowned for vinifying exclusively in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with systematic double débourbage à froid and full malolactic conversion, preserving pristine varietal fruit and crisp structure. Aging takes place in deep, chalk-carved cellars reaching depths of 33 meters, where prolonged cool secondary fermentation produces exceptionally fine perlage, complemented by traditional hand-riddling. Celebrated for its historic British connection and royal warrants, the maison's portfolio is anchored by the balanced Brut Réserve NV and reaches its apotheosis in the robust, Pinot Noir-dominated prestige Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill, alongside its library Vinothèque releases.
