Domaine Prieuré Roch's Blanc de Macération is a striking testament to the estate's avant-garde yet deeply traditional philosophy. While Burgundy is globally renowned for its pristine, direct-pressed white Chardonnays, this cuvée subverts modern convention by reviving ancient skin-contact winemaking techniques. Crafted from Chardonnay grapes, the fruit undergoes a period of maceration with the skins, a method more commonly associated with red winemaking or 'orange' wines. This process extracts a gorgeous amber hue, rich phenolic structure, and an incredibly complex aromatic profile. True to the legacy of the late Henry-Frédéric Roch, the wine is fermented using native yeasts in wooden vats with zero added sulfur, allowing the natural terroir and grape character to express themselves without filter. The result is a profound, textural masterpiece that challenges the boundaries of Burgundian white wine, offering notes of dried apricot, orange peel, black tea, and exotic spices.

Domaine Prieuré Roch blev grundlagt i 1988 af den visionære, afdøde Henry-Frédéric Roch, som også var meddirektør for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Det højt respekterede domæne har hjemme i Prémeaux-Prisey i Bourgognes Côte de Nuits.
