Hailing from the prestigious village of Vosne-Romanée, 'Les Clous' is a highly regarded lieu-dit situated high on the historical slopes where the soil is thin, stony, and dominated by hard limestone. This specific terroir imparts a striking mineral tension and crystalline purity to the wine. Under the late Henry-Frédéric Roch's uncompromising vision, this parcel is farmed biodynamically and harvested by hand with meticulous sorting. In the cellar, the grapes undergo 100% whole-cluster fermentation using native yeasts in traditional wooden vats, with no temperature control and zero added sulfur. The resulting Pinot Noir is a wild, energetic, and deeply aromatic masterpiece, boasting notes of fresh pomegranate, damp earth, peony, and exotic spices, wrapped in a structure of vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins.
