Domaine Prieuré Roch's Grand Ordinaire Rouge is a remarkable testament to how a master producer can elevate a historically humble appellation. Bourgogne Grand Ordinaire (now largely succeeded by the Coteaux Bourguignons classification) was traditionally regarded as a simple, daily drinking wine of Burgundy, often overlooked in favor of the region's prestigious crus. However, under the late Henry-Frédéric Roch’s visionary guidance, this cuvée became a cult legend. Sourced from old Gamay vines situated in the Côte de Nuits, this wine is crafted with the exact same uncompromising standards as the domaine's Grand Crus: biodynamic farming, strict manual selection, whole-cluster fermentation with native yeasts, and no added sulfur. The result is an incredibly vibrant, wild, and aromatic expression that defies its humble classification, offering a joyful yet complex look into the soul of minimal-intervention Burgundian winemaking.

Domaine Prieuré Roch blev grundlagt i 1988 af den visionære, afdøde Henry-Frédéric Roch, som også var meddirektør for Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.
