Domaine Prieuré Roch's Premier Cru Monopole, most famously epitomized by the historic Clos des Corvées in Premeaux-Prisey, represents the pinnacle of the estate's natural winemaking philosophy. Acquired in 1995, this ancient 5.2-hectare walled vineyard has roots stretching back to the medieval period. Under the visionary guidance of the late Henry-Frédéric Roch, the vineyard became a laboratory for organic and biodynamic renaissance. The terroir, rich in Bajocian limestone and clay, yields grapes of extraordinary concentration. Prieuré Roch famously practices whole-cluster fermentation using native yeasts and zero added sulfur, often sorting the highly prized 'millerandage' (tiny, concentrated, seedless berries) to craft a wine of singular aromatic intensity, wild berry complexity, and deep, velvety structure that redefines the traditional power of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
