Domaine Prieur Roch's 'Pure' is a profound testament to the late Henry-Fr d ric Roch's uncompromising vision of natural winemaking. Classified as a Vin de France, this rare cuv e is crafted from biodynamically farmed Pinot Noir vines. True to its name, 'Pure' is vinified and bottled with absolutely no added sulfur dioxide, representing the rawest, most unadulterated expression of the estate's terroir. Utilizing ancient Burgundian methods, the grapes undergo 100% whole-cluster fermentation with native yeasts in open wooden vats, followed by aging in oak barrels without racking. The resulting wine is highly energetic, wild, and deeply aromatic, offering a sensory journey into the pre-industrial heritage of Burgundy.

Established in 1988 by the late Henry-Frédéric Roch—grandson of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's Henry Leroy and long-time DRC co-director—Domaine Prieuré Roch stands as a vanguard of natural, terroir-driven viticulture in Burgundy. Headquartered in Prémeaux-Prissey, the domaine encompasses exceptional parcels across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, rooted in classic jurassic limestone and clay-rich soils. Managed and vinified by co-director and cellar master Yannick Champ, the estate adheres rigorously to organic and biodynamic viticulture, entirely eschewing synthetic chemicals. Cellar methodology emphasizes uncompromised traditionalism, characterized by whole-cluster vinifications with native yeasts, manual punch-downs in open wooden vats, aging in seasoned French oak without sulfur additions until bottling, and no fining or filtration.
