Domaine Prieuré Roch's 'Roses' is a legendary and highly unconventional rosé that defies the standard expectations of the category. Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir sourced from the estate's meticulously farmed organic parcels in the Côte de Nuits, this rare cuvée is a testament to the late Henry-Frédéric Roch's uncompromising natural winemaking philosophy. Utilizing whole-cluster fermentation, indigenous yeasts, and avoiding any added sulfur, the wine undergoes a short maceration that imparts a deep, shimmering copper-rose hue. Far from a simple summer sipper, 'Roses' is a serious, gastronomic wine. It is celebrated for its wild, expressive bouquet of crushed red berries, dried rose petals, and signature sous-bois undertones, offering a textured and vibrant palate that reflects the pure, untamed essence of Burgundian terroir.

Established in 1988 by the late Henry-Frédéric Roch—grandson of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's Henry Leroy and long-time DRC co-director—Domaine Prieuré Roch stands as a vanguard of natural, terroir-driven viticulture in Burgundy. Headquartered in Prémeaux-Prissey, the domaine encompasses exceptional parcels across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, rooted in classic jurassic limestone and clay-rich soils. Managed and vinified by co-director and cellar master Yannick Champ, the estate adheres rigorously to organic and biodynamic viticulture, entirely eschewing synthetic chemicals. Cellar methodology emphasizes uncompromised traditionalism, characterized by whole-cluster vinifications with native yeasts, manual punch-downs in open wooden vats, aging in seasoned French oak without sulfur additions until bottling, and no fining or filtration. Benchmark cuvées include the celebrated monopoles Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru Clos des Corvées and Vosne-Romanée Clos Goillotte, alongside prized Grand Crus Chambertin-Clos de Bèze and Clos de Vougeot, delivering intensely aromatic, deeply textured, and profoundly expressive Pinot Noir.
