Sourced from meticulously tended biodynamic parcels, this cuv e is crafted using ancient, non-interventionist methods resurrected by the late Henry-Fr d ric Roch. The winemaking process is uncompromising: 100% whole-cluster fermentation in open oak vats, reliance entirely on native yeasts, no temperature control, and no added sulfur. This traditional approach produces a wine of remarkable energy and transparency, characterized by its wild, stemmy aromatics, notes of crushed rose petals, tart red berries, and a vibrant, mineral-driven palate that showcases the raw beauty of Burgundy.

Established in 1988 by the late Henry-Frédéric Roch—grandson of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti's Henry Leroy and long-time DRC co-director—Domaine Prieuré Roch stands as a vanguard of natural, terroir-driven viticulture in Burgundy. Headquartered in Prémeaux-Prissey, the domaine encompasses exceptional parcels across the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, rooted in classic jurassic limestone and clay-rich soils. Managed and vinified by co-director and cellar master Yannick Champ, the estate adheres rigorously to organic and biodynamic viticulture, entirely eschewing synthetic chemicals. Cellar methodology emphasizes uncompromised traditionalism, characterized by whole-cluster vinifications with native yeasts, manual punch-downs in open wooden vats, aging in seasoned French oak without sulfur additions until bottling, and no fining or filtration.
