The Produttori del Barbaresco Moccagatta Riserva is a profound testament to the power of cooperative winemaking and the unique terroir of the Langhe. Established in 1958 by the local priest, Don Fiorino Marengo, to support struggling grape growers, this cooperative has become a global benchmark for Nebbiolo. The Moccagatta vineyard, a steep amphitheater facing southeast, is characterized by compact clay and limestone soils. This specific cru yields a Barbaresco known for its striking balance of power and elegance, displaying intense floral aromas, dark cherry, and balsamic undertones. Crafted only in exceptional vintages, the wine undergoes a long maceration and is aged for 36 months in traditional large Slavonian oak casks, allowing the Nebbiolo grape's natural structure and terroir to shine without the influence of dominant wood flavors.

Founded in 1958 by parish priest Don Fiorino Marengo and nineteen local growers, Produttori del Barbaresco was established to revive the historic cooperative model first initiated by Domizio Cavazza in 1894 in the Langhe hills of Piedmont, Italy. Widely celebrated as one of the world's preeminent wine cooperatives, the estate unites over fifty member families dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of the Nebbiolo grape across exceptional vineyard sites.
