First launched in 1913, Evel is one of Portugal's oldest and most iconic wine brands. The name itself is a clever, historical anagram of 'Leve' (meaning light or smooth), chosen to highlight the wine's elegant, easy-drinking, and fresh character in an era when Douro reds were notoriously heavy and rustic. Produced by the historic Real Companhia Velha, Evel Tinto is crafted from traditional Douro grape varieties grown in the cooler, high-altitude vineyards of the Douro Valley, particularly from Quinta do Casal da Granja.
