Quinta do Síbio is one of the Douro's most historic and prestigious estates, located in the celebrated Roncão valley, a sub-region famous for producing wines of immense concentration and structure. Under the stewardship of Real Companhia Velha, this vineyard is characterized by its dramatic, hand-built stone terraces that carve into the steep hillsides. The terroir here benefits from a unique microclimate with hot days and cool nights, allowing the grapes to achieve optimal phenolic ripeness while retaining essential acidity. Quinta do Síbio Vintage Port is crafted only in exceptional years, utilizing traditional foot-treading in granite lagares to maximize extraction of color, tannin, and flavor. The resulting wine is a powerful, deeply colored Vintage Port boasting intense aromas of dark wild berries, rockrose, and spice, backed by robust, velvety tannins that promise outstanding longevity.

Founded in 1756 by Royal Charter of King José I under the guidance of the Marquis of Pombal, Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and most historic wine enterprise in Portugal. With its storied maturation cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia and sprawling estate vineyards across the Douro Valley, the company was central to the creation of the world's first officially demarcated wine region.
