Quinta dos Aciprestes, located on the left bank of the Douro River near the mouth of the Tua River, is one of Real Companhia Velha's most prized estates. The property takes its name from the historic cypress trees ('ciprestes') that dot its landscape. This Grande Reserva represents the pinnacle of the estate's production, sourced from select parcels of vines planted on steep, schistose slopes. Benefiting from a warm microclimate and excellent sun exposure, the grapes develop intense concentration. The wine is crafted using traditional maceration and aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a deeply structured, robust red characterized by dark berry fruits, complex spice, and elegant mineral undertones.
