Named after the 'Raspa Saias' (skirt-rustler), a traditional and lively Portuguese folk dance, this white wine from Real Companhia Velha captures the joyful, energetic spirit of regional celebrations. Crafted as an approachable, fresh, and highly aromatic expression of the Douro Valley, it showcases a modern, fruit-forward style of Portuguese white winemaking. The grapes are sourced from selected vineyard plots across the Douro, where the classic schist soils and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts help retain vibrant natural acidity. Fermented entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve its bright primary fruit aromas and crispness, this wine offers a delightful contrast to the region's heavier, oak-influenced whites, making it a celebration of pure, youthful terroir.

Real Companhia Velha blev grundlagt i 1756 ved kongeligt dekret af kong José I under ledelse af Marquês de Pombal og er Portugals ældste og mest historiske vinhus. Med sine legendariske modningskældre i Vila Nova de Gaia og vidtstrakte vinmarker i Dourodalen spillede huset en afgørende rolle i etableringen af verdens første officielt afgrænsede vinregion. Vinhuset har i årtier været drevet af Silva Reis-familien, som forener århundreders traditioner med moderne ønologi på anerkendte vingårde som Quinta das Carvalhas, Quinta de Cidrô og Quinta dos Aciprestes.
