The Royal Late Bottled Vintage from Real Companhia Velha represents a superb expression of the traditional Douro blend, crafted from a single exceptional harvest. Unlike Vintage Port, which ages in bottle, this Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) is aged in large oak vats for four to six years before bottling, allowing it to develop a rich, mature character while remaining approachable upon release. Sourced from the historic vineyards of the Cima Corgo, this wine carries the legacy of Portugal's oldest wine company, founded by royal charter in 1756. It offers a deep ruby color, intense aromas of ripe black fruits, wild berries, and subtle hints of spice and chocolate, backed by a robust structure and velvety tannins that pay homage to centuries of royal winemaking heritage.

Founded in 1756 by Royal Charter of King José I under the guidance of the Marquis of Pombal, Real Companhia Velha is the oldest and most historic wine enterprise in Portugal.
