✨ wine.spec_sheet

A playful nod to classic B-movie horror, RedHeads 'Night of the Living Red' is a wonderfully dark, rich, and velvety red blend crafted to 'wake the dead.' Sourced from select premium vineyards across South Australia, this wine brings together robust varieties like Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Durif. The winemakers employ traditional small-batch fermentation and careful oak aging to coax out deep, fleshy dark fruit characters, subtle spice, and smooth, supple tannins. It is a wine designed to showcase the vibrant, generous, and rebellious spirit of South Australian winemaking, wrapped in a narrative-driven, theatrical package that has become a signature of the RedHeads studio.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Established in 2002 in McLaren Vale by Tony Laithwaite as a collaborative studio for rebellious winemakers, RedHeads has since evolved into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly winery located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Operating from its custom-built, solar-powered facility in Nuriootpa since 2019, the winery is dedicated to rescuing small, premium parcels of grapes from independent growers to craft expressive, small-batch wines. RedHeads is celebrated for its highly characterful, narrative-driven labels, producing acclaimed reds and whites such as the Dogs of the Barossa Shiraz, Whip-Hand Cabernet Sauvignon, and Esule, which showcase the diverse terroirs of South Australia with minimal intervention and maximum personality.
