✨ wine.spec_sheet

Crafted by the rebellious winemakers at RedHeads, 'Return of the Living Red' is a bold, characterful South Australian red blend that pays homage to classic B-grade horror cinema with its striking, narrative-driven label. The wine is a creative resurrection of premium, small-parcel grapes sourced from independent growers across South Australia's top regions. Typically anchored by the robust structure of Cabernet Sauvignon and the plush, spicy dark fruit of Shiraz, this blend is fermented in small batches and aged in oak to achieve a harmonious balance of ripe black fruits, subtle oak spice, and velvety tannins. It represents the winery's signature style of breathing new life into forgotten parcels to create a wine of immense personality and drinkability.

🍾 wine.about_producer

Established in 2002 in McLaren Vale by Tony Laithwaite as a collaborative studio for rebellious winemakers, RedHeads has since evolved into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly winery located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. Operating from its custom-built, solar-powered facility in Nuriootpa since 2019, the winery is dedicated to rescuing small, premium parcels of grapes from independent growers to craft expressive, small-batch wines. RedHeads is celebrated for its highly characterful, narrative-driven labels, producing acclaimed reds and whites such as the Dogs of the Barossa Shiraz, Whip-Hand Cabernet Sauvignon, and Esule, which showcase the diverse terroirs of South Australia with minimal intervention and maximum personality.
