Originally belonging to the Abbey of St. Martin in Trier before being acquired by the Kesselstatt family in 1858, this steep, south-facing site is blessed with deep, weathered Devonian slate soils. The 'Auktion' designation denotes an extremely limited, specially selected lot destined for the prestigious annual VDP Mosel wine auction. Crafted from hand-harvested Riesling grapes and fermented in traditional oak Fuder casks, this Kabinett is celebrated for its breathtaking tension, balancing electric, slate-driven acidity with delicate residual sweetness, vibrant stone fruit aromas, and a profound, salty minerality.
