✨ Technical Specifications

Hailing from the legendary Kaseler Nies'chen vineyard in the Ruwer valley, a tributary of the Mosel, this Trockenbeerenauslese (TBA) represents the pinnacle of German sweet winemaking. The vineyard's steep, south-facing slopes of blue Devonian slate, combined with the cool Ruwer microclimate, yield Riesling of extraordinary mineral tension and soaring acidity. To produce this rare nectar, botrytized grapes are painstakingly selected berry by berry in the vineyard. The resulting wine is a masterclass in balance, where the intense, honeyed sweetness of noble rot is perfectly countered by a piercing, electric acidity. Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt's historical mastery shines in this bottling, capturing the essence of one of the Ruwer's most revered terroirs.

🍾 About the Producer

With a documented winemaking legacy dating back to 1349, Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt is one of the most historic and revered wine estates in Germany's Mosel region. Headquartered at Schloss Marienlay in the Ruwer valley and owned by the Reh family since 1978, the estate holds an extraordinary footprint spanning the three distinct river valleys of the Mosel, Saar, and Ruwer. Dedicated almost exclusively to steep-slope Riesling cultivation, the winery stewards world-renowned VDP.Grosse Lage vineyard sites such as the Saar's Scharzhofberger, the Ruwer's Kaseler Nies'chen, and their historic Mosel monopole, Josephshöfer. Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt is celebrated for crafting site-expressive, mineral-driven Rieslings that range from vibrant dry expressions to profound, age-worthy noble sweet Prädikat wines.
