The Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, or 'droplets of gold,' is one of the Mosel's most legendary grand cru vineyards, renowned since Roman times for its dramatic, south-facing amphitheater that hugs a sweeping bend of the river. This unique topography traps warmth and moisture, creating the ideal conditions for Botrytis cinerea (noble rot).
