Crafted by the historic house of Rémy Martin, the Centaure Extra Old (XO) is a masterclass in the art of blending Fine Champagne Cognac. The name pays homage to the Centaur, the mythical half-man, half-horse emblem chosen by Emile-Rémy Martin in 1870 to represent the perfect harmony between human craftsmanship and the forces of nature. Sourced exclusively from the chalky soils of the prestigious Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, this expression is distilled on the lees in traditional small copper pot stills. It undergoes decades of slow maturation in toasted Limousin oak casks, developing a rich mahogany hue and an incredibly complex aromatic profile of dried apricots, jasmine, warm spices, and rancio. The Centaure XO stands as a testament to the house's centuries-old legacy of patience and blending mastery.
