Founded in 1724, the House of Rémy Martin has long been synonymous with the prestigious Fine Champagne designation, a protected appellation requiring a blend of eaux-de-vie exclusively from the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, with at least 50% from the former. This iconic 1960s VSOP release represents a golden era of Cognac production, housed in the signature frosted green glass bottle first introduced in 1948. Distilled primarily from Ugni Blanc grapes using traditional small copper pot stills, the spirit was aged in toasted Limousin oak casks, which imparted its signature amber hue, rich vanilla notes, and complex dried fruit aromas. This historic bottling captures the mid-century house style of Rémy Martin, characterized by its remarkable elegance, floral depth, and long, warm finish.
