Rémy Martin's VSOP Fine Champagne is a legendary expression first created in 1927, establishing a benchmark for the VSOP category worldwide. Crafted under the strict designation of "Fine Champagne," this Cognac is a masterclass in blending, requiring that at least 50% of the eaux-de-vie originate from the prestigious Grande Champagne cru, with the remainder from Petite Champagne. The chalky soils of these premier crus impart an unmatched elegance and aging potential to the grapes, primarily Ugni Blanc. The house employs traditional double distillation on the lees in small copper pot stills, a meticulous process that preserves the rich, fruit-forward, and floral character of the spirit. The resulting eaux-de-vie are aged in toasted Limousin oak casks, which slowly impart warm notes of vanilla, dried stone fruits, and toasted hazelnuts, creating a harmonious and velvety texture that has defined the house style for nearly a century.
