Robert Mondavi established his namesake winery in 1966 with a bold vision to create Napa Valley wines that could stand among the world's finest. Located in the heart of Oakville, the winery became a pioneer of modern California winemaking, largely defined by its signature Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is typically crafted as a classic Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant blend, often complemented by Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Much of the fruit historically sources from the legendary To Kalon Vineyard, famous for its gravelly, well-drained soils that yield intense, structured berries.
