Nestled on the western bench of Oakville near the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains, the M-Bar Ranch benefits from gravelly, well-drained clay loam soils and a climate defined by warm sunny days tempered by cool afternoon breezes from the San Pablo Bay. Robert Mondavi, a visionary who founded his winery in 1966, was instrumental in establishing Oakville's reputation for world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. This single-vineyard bottling pays homage to that legacy, typically crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon with traditional French oak aging.
