Hailing from the prestigious Meursault appellation in the Côte de Beaune, the Premier Cru 'Poruzots' (often designated as Clos des Poruzots) is situated on a stony, east-facing mid-slope rich in active limestone and clay. This exceptional climat has been celebrated since the medieval era when Cistercian monks meticulously mapped the terroirs of Burgundy, recognizing the unique ability of this plot to yield whites of immense power and longevity. Domaine Roux Père et Fils coaxes the absolute best from these old vines, employing traditional barrel fermentation and lees stirring (bâtonnage) in French oak. The resulting wine is a masterclass in tension, balancing Meursault's signature hazelnut, stone fruit, and toasted brioche richness with a piercing, flinty minerality.

Domaine Roux Père et Fils blev grundlagt i 1855 af Louis Roux i den historiske landsby Saint-Aubin og har gennem fem generationer udviklet sig til en af Bourgognes mest anerkendte familieejendomme.
