Ruffino, established in 1877 by cousins Ilario and Leopoldo Ruffino in Pontassieve, is a cornerstone of Tuscan winemaking history. In the early 1950s, Ruffino revolutionized the Italian wine scene by introducing Rosatello, one of the country's first widely celebrated rosé wines, famously packaged in a distinctive teardrop-shaped bottle. The Rosatello Prima Cuvee continues this legacy of joyful, easy-drinking elegance. Crafted primarily from Sangiovese and other traditional Tuscan red grape varieties, this rosé is produced using brief skin contact to achieve its signature delicate pink hue, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This process preserves the vibrant, fresh aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, and white peach, backed by a crisp, refreshing acidity that captures the sunny, breezy spirit of the Tuscan hills.

Ruffino blev grundlagt i 1877 i Pontassieve nær Firenze af fætrene Ilario og Leopoldo Ruffino og har siden udviklet sig til en af de mest ikoniske ambassadører for toscansk vinavl. Vingården opnåede tidligt stor anerkendelse som officiel hofleverandør til det italienske kongehus – en hæder, der blev udødeliggjort med flagskibet Riserva Ducale, skabt i 1927 til ære for hertugen af Aosta.
