Scheid Vineyards' 'Odd Lot White' is a playful and unconventional white blend born from the diverse microclimates of Monterey County. The name 'Odd Lot' pays homage to the winemaking tradition of blending 'odd lots'—distinct, small batches of wine that do not fit into traditional single-varietal bottlings but possess exceptional character. In this blend, Scheid's winemakers combine aromatic white varieties, typically led by Gewürztraminer and Riesling, grown in the cool, wind-swept Salinas Valley. The intense maritime influence of the nearby Monterey Bay brings morning fog and strong afternoon winds, preserving the grapes' natural acidity and intensifying their vibrant, exotic fruit aromas. The result is an off-dry, highly aromatic, and expressive white wine that showcases the creative freedom of Monterey's cool-climate viticulture.

Scheid Vineyards blev grundlagt i 1972 af Al Scheid og er en pionervirksomhed beliggende i hjertet af Salinas Valley i Californiens Monterey County. Gennem fem årtier har den familieejede vingård udvidet sit virke til tolv unikke vinmarker, hvor man udnytter den markante, kølende havbrise fra Monterey Bay til at dyrke en bred vifte af druesorter. Vingården er dybt engageret i bæredygtighed, drives udelukkende af vedvarende vindenergi og arbejder efter strenge, certificerede bæredygtige principper. Scheid Vineyards er anerkendt for sin alsidige portefølje af levende hvid-, rød- og rosévine og fremstiller både roste enkeltdruevine på eksempelvis Cabernet Sauvignon, Albariño og Barbera samt håndværksmæssige cuvéer som deres Claret Reserve.
