Scotchmans Hill blev grundlagt i 1982 af David og Vivienne Browne på et tidligere malkekvægsbrug og regnes i dag for både pioneren og det ultimative pejlemærke på Victorias Bellarine Peninsula i vinregionen Geelong. Vinmarkerne ligger højt hævet på halvøens udslukte vulkanske fremspring, hvor vinstokkene nyder godt af et frugtbart lag af sort basaltler over en kalkstensholdig undergrund samt et maritimt mikroklima, der tempereres af Port Phillip Bay og det Sydlige Ishav.
