The 2020 125th Anniversary Zinfandel is a tribute to Sonoma County's premier terroirs, capturing the essence of a warm and fast-paced vintage. The 2020 growing season featured a hot summer that accelerated ripening, requiring precise harvest timing to preserve the grape's natural acidity and bright fruit profile. Sourced from select hillside and valley floor vineyards across Sonoma County, the vines thrive in well-drained gravelly loam soils. This vintage is characterized by concentrated aromas of wild blackberry, briar patch, and cracked black pepper. The wine was aged in a combination of French, American, and Hungarian oak barrels to integrate its robust tannins and add complex layers of baking spice and toasted wood.
