Spier's Ideology Shiraz Mourvedre is a red blend sourced from the Coastal Region of South Africa. The blend is typically dominated by Shiraz, which provides dark fruit and peppery spice, complemented by Mourvèdre, which adds structure, color, and savory, earthy undertones. The grapes are harvested from selected vineyards influenced by maritime breezes. Vinification generally involves fermentation in stainless steel followed by aging in a combination of French and American oak barrels to integrate the tannins and impart subtle wood spice without overpowering the fruit.
