Released in 2012 to commemorate the golden jubilee of one of rock 'n' roll's most iconic bands, the Suntory Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary edition is a legendary, ultra-rare commemorative blend that bridges the worlds of Japanese spirits craftsmanship and music history. Housed in a striking crystal bottle shaped like the band's famous 'Tongue and Lips' logo, this masterpiece is a blend of carefully selected whiskies from Suntory's most prestigious distilleries, each chosen to represent a milestone year in the band's history. The blend features a 1962 Yamazaki malt marking the year the band was formed, a 1971 Hakushu malt and Chita grain celebrating the debut of the tongue logo, a 1972 Yamazaki malt commemorating the release of the landmark album 'Exile on Main St.', and a 1990 Hakushu malt honoring the Stones' first-ever concerts in Japan. This complex, deeply aromatic spirit offers a rich tapestry of dried fruits, elegant Mizunara oak, and subtle smoke, embodying the rebellious spirit of rock and the meticulous art of Japanese blending.
