✨ Technical Specifications

Taittinger Brut La Francaise is the definitive expression of the house's elegant, Chardonnay-forward style. This non-vintage cuvee is distinguished by its remarkably high proportion of Chardonnay, a deliberate choice that imparts a signature lightness, delicacy, and mineral precision. The grapes are sourced from over 35 different vineyards, representing several distinct harvests harvested at peak maturity. To achieve its harmonious complexity, the blend is aged for three to four years on its lees in Taittinger's historic Gallo-Roman chalk cellars (crayeres) beneath Reims. This extended aging process, far exceeding the legal minimum, coaxes out subtle notes of brioche, fresh peach, and white flowers, while preserving the vibrant, crisp acidity that defines the house style.

🍾 About the Producer

Tracing its foundations back to 1734 when the original house was established by Jacques Fourneaux, Champagne Taittinger took its modern identity in 1932 under the visionary leadership of Pierre Taittinger. Headquartered in Reims within the historic Champagne region of France, the family-owned house matures its finest cuvΓ©es inside UNESCO-listed Gallo-Roman chalk caves beneath the ancient Abbey of Saint-Nicaise. Taittinger is distinguished by its defining reliance on Chardonnay, crafting champagnes celebrated for their elegance, minerality, and delicate aromatics. The house's supreme expression is the iconic Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, a benchmark vintage champagne produced exclusively from top Grand Cru vineyards in the CΓ΄te des Blancs.
