✨ Technical Specifications
Taittinger's Nocturne Rosé is a 'Sec' Champagne designed to evoke the magic of the night. It is crafted from a blend of Chardonnay (around 30%) and Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (around 70%), with a portion of still red wine from the best crus of Champagne added to achieve its brilliant color. The slow cellar aging of several years on the lees brings a velvety texture that balances its higher dosage of around 17.5 grams per liter. The Taittinger family, who established their house in Reims in the early 20th century, created this cuvée as an homage to nocturnal celebrations, blending the elegance of traditional Champagne craftsmanship with a modern, festive spirit.
🍾 About the Producer
Tracing its foundations back to 1734 when the original house was established by Jacques Fourneaux, Champagne Taittinger took its modern identity in 1932 under the visionary leadership of Pierre Taittinger. Headquartered in Reims within the historic Champagne region of France, the family-owned house matures its finest cuvées inside UNESCO-listed Gallo-Roman chalk caves beneath the ancient Abbey of Saint-Nicaise. Taittinger is distinguished by its defining reliance on Chardonnay, crafting champagnes celebrated for their elegance, minerality, and delicate aromatics. The house's supreme expression is the iconic Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, a benchmark vintage champagne produced exclusively from top Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs.
