The Taittinger Collection commission for the 1985 vintage features the distinctive pop art of American artist Roy Lichtenstein, who wrapped the bottle in his signature Ben-Day dots and bold comic-book style graphics. Launched by Claude Taittinger in 1983, this series bridges the worlds of fine art and haute champagne. Inside the artistic sheath is Taittinger's exceptional vintage Brut, crafted only in outstanding years. The 1985 vintage is a classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced primarily from Grand Cru vineyards. It underwent extensive cellar aging in Taittinger's historic Gallo-Roman chalk cellars in Reims, resulting in a Champagne of remarkable complexity, combining freshness with mature, toasted brioche and honeyed notes.

Established in 1932 when Pierre Taittinger acquired the historic Forest-Fourneaux house founded in 1734, Champagne Taittinger is one of the few remaining family-owned and operated Champagne houses based in Reims, France. The house is celebrated for its extensive Gallo-Roman chalk cellars, known as crayères, which provide the perfect aging conditions for their elegant, Chardonnay-dominant cuvées. Taittinger's signature style is defined by lightness, finesse, and mineral precision, epitomized by their legendary prestige cuvée, Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, alongside their classic Brut Réserve and the artistic Taittinger Collection.
