✨ Technical Specifications

The Taittinger Collection was conceived in the late 1970s by Claude Taittinger, who sought to marry the fine art of winemaking with contemporary visual art. For the 1983 vintage, the house commissioned the celebrated Portuguese-French abstractionist painter Maria Helena Vieira da Silva. Her signature style, characterized by intricate, labyrinthine patterns, grid-like structures, and a sense of infinite depth, gracefully wraps the bottle, mirroring the complex, structured, and effervescent nature of the Champagne within. The wine itself is a prestigious vintage Brut, crafted only in exceptional years from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards. It undergoes extensive cellar aging in Taittinger's historic Gallo-Roman chalk crayères, allowing it to develop a magnificent harmony of toasted brioche, ripe stone fruits, and refined mineral precision.

🍾 About the Producer

Tracing its foundations back to 1734 when the original house was established by Jacques Fourneaux, Champagne Taittinger took its modern identity in 1932 under the visionary leadership of Pierre Taittinger. Headquartered in Reims within the historic Champagne region of France, the family-owned house matures its finest cuvées inside UNESCO-listed Gallo-Roman chalk caves beneath the ancient Abbey of Saint-Nicaise. Taittinger is distinguished by its defining reliance on Chardonnay, crafting champagnes celebrated for their elegance, minerality, and delicate aromatics. The house's supreme expression is the iconic Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs, a benchmark vintage champagne produced exclusively from top Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs.
