Talisker, established in 1830 on the rugged shores of the Isle of Skye, is legendary for its maritime, peat-smoked single malts. Historically, whiskies from Skye were often classified under the broad 'Highland' region, leading to classic older bottlings bearing the 'Pure Highland Malt' designation. A 35-year-old expression from this iconic distillery represents an extraordinary rarity, capturing decades of maturation in oak casks. Over thirty-five years, the fierce, peppery, and intensely smoky youth of the spirit mellows into a sublime, complex tapestry of coastal brine, rich dried fruits, old leather, soft peat smoke, and warming spice. Talisker blev grundlagt i 1830 af brødrene Hugh og Kenneth MacAskill ved de vindblæste bredder af Loch Harport i Carbost og er det ældste aktive destilleri på Isle of Skye.
