Released as part of the limited-edition Diageo Game of Thrones Single Malt Collection, this expression pairs the fiercely independent House Greyjoy of the Iron Islands with the rugged maritime character of Talisker, located on the windswept shores of the Isle of Skye. The match is highly symbolic, as both share a deep, inescapable connection to the sea. This single malt is matured in heavily charred ex-bourbon American oak casks, which imparts a golden copper color and enhances the spirit's natural sweetness. Founded in 1830 by brothers Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill on the windswept shores of Loch Harport in Carbost, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the Isle of Skye.
