Released as part of the limited-edition Diageo Game of Thrones Single Malt Collection, this expression pairs the fiercely independent House Greyjoy of the Iron Islands with the rugged maritime character of Talisker, located on the windswept shores of the Isle of Skye. The match is highly symbolic, as both share a deep, inescapable connection to the sea. This single malt is matured in heavily charred ex-bourbon American oak casks, which imparts a golden copper color and enhances the spirit's natural sweetness. It delivers Talisker's signature elements of intense peat smoke, sea salt, and a fiery black pepper finish, layered with notes of dry Sichuan pepper and dark orchard fruits.

Talisker blev grundlagt i 1830 af brødrene Hugh og Kenneth MacAskill ved de vindblæste bredder af Loch Harport i Carbost og er det ældste aktive destilleri på Isle of Skye.
