Part of Diageo's prestigious Prima & Ultima collection, this extraordinary 41-year-old single malt from the Talisker Distillery on the Isle of Skye is a liquid time capsule. Distilled in 1979—a year of transition and historic significance for the distillery—and bottled in 2021, this expression represents some of the last remaining drops from a golden era of production. Aged in refill American oak casks, it showcases the legendary maritime character of Skye, softened and deepened by more than four decades of maturation. The nose reveals a delicate dance of sea salt, sweet peat smoke, and waxiness, while the palate delivers an incredibly complex, oily texture with notes of white pepper, dried fruit, and a lingering, elegant smoky finish. This rare bottling captures the rugged soul of the Cuillin Hills and the relentless Atlantic winds that shape the distillery's coastal terroir.

Talisker blev grundlagt i 1830 af brødrene Hugh og Kenneth MacAskill ved de vindblæste bredder af Loch Harport i Carbost og er det ældste aktive destilleri på Isle of Skye.
