Tardieu-Laurent's Vieilles Vignes designation represents the very core of this acclaimed micro-negoce's winemaking philosophy. Founded on the belief that ancient root systems yield the most profound expressions of terroir, Michel and Bastien Tardieu seek out parcels of extreme age, often ranging from 50 to over a century old, across the Rhône Valley's most prestigious terroirs. These ancient, low-yielding vines naturally produce small, highly concentrated berries packed with complex phenolics, deep minerality, and balanced acidity. In the cellar, Tardieu-Laurent honors this raw material through gentle extraction and a sophisticated aging regimen, utilizing custom-crafted oak barrels to polish the intense structural elements of the old-vine fruit without overshadowing its natural character. The resulting red wines are celebrated for their remarkable depth, velvety texture, and evocative sense of place, capturing the rugged beauty and sun-drenched history of the region.

Maison Tardieu-Laurent blev grundlagt i 1994 af Michel Tardieu og Dominique Laurent og er en prestigefyldt mikro-négociant med base i den maleriske landsby Lourmarin i det sydfranske Luberon. I dag drives huset af Michel Tardieu og sønnen Bastien, som sammen fungerer som en exceptionel 'négociant-éleveur'. De udvælger udelukkende druer og unge vine af absolut højeste kvalitet fra meget gamle vinstokke i Rhône-dalens bedste crus. Huset er berømt for sin kompromisløse respekt for terroiret og den traditionelle élevage, hvor vinene modnes tålmodigt på specialfremstillede franske egetræsfade uden hverken klaring eller filtrering. Tardieu-Laurent nyder stor international anerkendelse for sine rige, koncentrerede og strukturede vine med et enestående lagringspotentiale – lige fra ikoniske appellationer som Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage og Cornas til den anmelderroste Côtes du Rhône, Les Becs Fins.
