✨ Technical Specifications

The Tedeschi family has been crafting wines in the heart of Valpolicella since 1630, embodying the deep-rooted winemaking traditions of the Veneto region. Their Valpolicella Superiore is a testament to this heritage, sourced from hillside vineyards where morainic, limestone-rich soils impart a distinct mineral complexity. The wine is crafted from a classic blend of indigenous grapes, predominantly Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella. To achieve the 'Superiore' designation, the grapes are carefully selected and the wine undergoes patient aging in Slavonian oak casks. This process yields a red wine of remarkable structure, elegance, and aromatic complexity, characterized by notes of dark cherry, wild berries, and subtle spices, reflecting the family's commitment to expressing the authentic character of their historic terroir.

🍾 About the Producer

With viticultural roots dating back nearly four centuries to 1630, the Tedeschi family is one of the most storied and respected names in Veneto's Valpolicella region. Based in Pedemonte, the estate gained international acclaim under Renzo Tedeschi and is today guided by his children Antonietta, Sabrina, and Riccardo, who uphold an uncompromising commitment to terroir expression and local heritage. Tedeschi was a pioneer of single-vineyard selection in the region with the landmark 1964 bottling of Capitel Monte Olmi, helping to redefine the standard for site-specific Valpolicella. Employing careful appassimento drying methods and rigorous vineyard management across estates like Maternigo and Fabriseria, the producer is world-renowned for its powerful, elegant Amarone della Valpolicella, expressive Valpolicella Superiore, and refined regional spirits.
