Hailing from the sun-drenched Bugeac Steppe in the autonomous region of Gagauzia, southern Moldova, the Tomai Grand Reserve Merlot Semidry is a testament to a winemaking legacy that took root in the village of Tomai in 1903. In this warm, semi-arid microclimate, the Merlot grape thrives, absorbing the intense southern sun to develop rich, concentrated sugars and deep phenolic ripeness. Crafted under the Grand Reserve label, this wine undergoes careful maturation in oak casks, which imparts subtle structure and spice to the grape's naturally plush, fruit-forward character.
