Hailing from the sun-drenched Bugeac Steppe in the southern Moldovan region of Gagauzia, the Wino Grand Elite Chardonnay Semisweet captures the warm, hospitable spirit of Tomai's winemaking heritage. The region's viticultural roots run deep, with local traditions dating back to the turn of the 20th century. Here, the clay-rich soils and abundant southern sunshine create an ideal microclimate for Chardonnay, allowing the grapes to develop rich, ripe fruit flavors and a natural sweetness. Crafted using modern temperature-controlled fermentation to preserve the grape's delicate primary aromas, this semisweet expression balances the classic varietal character of Chardonnay with a gentle, harmonious sweetness that reflects the historic preference for off-dry styles in Eastern Europe.

Det historiske moldoviske vinhus Tomai (Tomai-Vinex) blev grundlagt i 1903 og har hjemme i landsbyen Tomai i den solbeskinnede sydlige region Gagauzien.
