Hailing from the historic Tommasi estate, established in 1902 in the Veneto region, the Bosco Gal Bianco (often referred to as Bosco del Gal) is a beautiful expression of the morainic hills of Castelnuovo del Garda, near the southeastern shores of Lake Garda. The name, which translates to 'Wood of the Rooster,' whispers of local folklore and the ancient wooded landscapes of the region. This white wine is typically crafted from a classic blend of local grape varieties, predominantly Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, and Cortese. The vines thrive in stony, calcareous soils left behind by ancient glaciers, benefiting from a unique microclimate moderated by the nearby lake. Tommasi utilizes gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pristine fruit character, avoiding oak to let the terroir shine. The resulting wine is celebrated for its bright, straw-yellow hue, delicate aromas of white wildflowers, pear, and citrus, and a crisp, mineral-driven finish with a characteristic hint of bitter almond.

Tommasi er et anerkendt og historisk vinhus, der blev grundlagt i 1902 af Giacomo Battista Tommasi i Pedemonte i hjertet af Valpolicella Classica-zonen i Veneto. Vingården ejes og drives i dag med stor omhu af fjerde generation af Tommasi-familien, og huset har for længst etableret sig som et internationalt pejlemærke for autentisk norditaliensk vinkunst. Vingården er især berømt for sin beherskelse af regionens traditionelle vinifikationsteknikker, ikke mindst den klassiske appassimento-metode med tørring af druerne, som danner grundlaget for deres kraftfulde, lagringsværdige Amarone della Valpolicella Classico samt prestigefyldte enkeltmarksudgaver som Ca' Florian og Rafael. Sideløbende med de ikoniske Valpolicella-rødvine fremstiller Tommasi også raffinerede Lugana-hvidvine, elegante Chiaretto-roséer og karakterfulde dessertvine, der alle hylder områdets oprindelige druesorter og historiske terroirs.
