โจ Technical Specifications
Part of Trapiche's esteemed Terroir Series, the Coletto Malbec is a tribute to the dedicated grape growers of Mendoza. This single-vineyard bottling originates from a historic parcel in El Peral, Tupungato, within the Uco Valley, planted in 1958 by Victorio Coletto. Situated at an elevation of over 1,100 meters, these ancient, ungrafted vines thrive in clay-loam soils rich in calcium carbonate. The combination of high-altitude sunlight and cool mountain nights yields a Malbec of extraordinary depth, characterized by intense balsamic notes, red fruits, and a distinct mineral core. The wine undergoes meticulous fermentation and is aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, resulting in a structured, velvety masterpiece that showcases the pinnacle of old-vine Argentine viticulture.
