The 'Fond de Cave' range by Trapiche—translating to 'the bottom of the cellar'—pays homage to the old-world tradition where winemakers tucked away their most precious, structured barrels for personal consumption and special guests. While Petit Verdot is historically utilized as a minor blending grape in Bordeaux due to its late-ripening nature, the intense high-altitude sunlight and dry climate of Mendoza allow this challenging variety to achieve magnificent, standalone ripeness. This Reserva bottling captures the grape's wild, untamed character, offering a deeply colored, muscular profile.
