Trapiche's Terroir Series is a masterclass in micro-terroir, celebrating the individual growers of Mendoza. The Finca Orellana cuvée originates from a historic vineyard in La Consulta, Uco Valley, planted in 1947 by grower Fausto Orellana. Situated at an altitude of 990 meters, these ancient, low-yielding vines thrive in sandy loam soils over a clay subsoil, benefiting from the dramatic diurnal temperature shifts of the Andes. The resulting wine is aged for 18 months in new French oak, delivering a powerful yet remarkably elegant Malbec defined by intense black fruit, violets, graphite, and a refined, mineral-driven structure that reflects its old-vine heritage.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
