Trapiche's classic Mendoza Malbec is a vibrant testament to the grape that redefined Argentine viticulture. Born in the high-altitude foothills of the Andes Mountains, where intense daytime sun is balanced by cool alpine nights, this wine captures the pure, expressive fruit character of Mendoza's diverse terroirs. Trapiche, a pioneer in the region since 1883, crafts this Malbec to showcase the varietal's signature plushness and accessibility. Sourced from vineyards irrigated by pure Andean snowmelt, the grapes undergo careful fermentation in stainless steel to preserve their bright primary fruit, often followed by a brief period of oak aging to add subtle notes of vanilla and spice to the rich plum and black cherry profile.

Founded in 1883 by Tiburcio Benegas, Trapiche is one of Argentina's oldest and most pioneering wineries, located in the Maipú department of Mendoza. Operating from a historic, beautifully restored Florentine-style winery built in 1912, the estate is celebrated for introducing French grape varieties and modern viticultural techniques to the region. Under the guidance of renowned winemakers, Trapiche focuses on expressing the diverse terroirs of Mendoza—ranging from high-altitude Andean vineyards to their pioneering coastal estate in Chapadmalal, Buenos Aires. The winery is globally acclaimed for its exceptional Malbecs, particularly its Single Vineyard series, as well as elegant expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.
